Help, fuel line question...

This "should" be easy.

The bike was running great...Took bike apart a couple weeks ago to paint the tank and plastics. Disconnected the blinkers and fuel lines with fuel level switch. Basically the minimum to get the plastics painted.

Got painted, put plastics back on, reconnected blinkers, all fuel lines and fuel level switch connector, and now bike is running like poo. Will idle just fine, however when I give it a little gas the engine will start to miss and cut out if continue to give it more gas.

Anyone have any idea of what is going on? Been racing dirtbikes for years (30) taking them apart and putting them back together. Never had a problem like this...

What they said. However your under tank hoses should be:

Vent and overflow tube on riders right side of tank on nipples.
Large fuel lines on petcock obviously.
Small vaccuum hose on riders left aide hooked up to the nipple towards the rear of the bike, it is a horizontal fitting.

Thanks for your help all. I went out and checked the vent lines. I believe they are in the correct order as stated above. Took them off and reinstalled and the bike is running better now. Very picky these bikes are...LOL

Picky? Like hook up a fuel and vacuum line to where they go?

What did you use to do this job, a hammer?

Yeah .... OK. You aren't the first one to do PVLIR, and you won't be the last.
