Having troubles with engine cutting, hesitation
Took the SH to dealer and they’re telling me the bike needs a new clutch after they already charge me to have the fluid replaced and filled. The bike after riding for about 30 minutes will start to buck like a bronco, hesitate, then surge and then finally shutoff. I have paid already to have the carbs tuned, $200 $100for the fluid replacement and now they want $500 to put in a factory replacement clutch. Does this sound ok?? I feel like I’m getting rippped off
Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Crack open the fuel cap and see if that cures the engine cutting out. If so, it's related to the vent.
Clutch would have nothing to do with the engine cutting out.

Need more info about the bike.
Sounds like a fueling issue. Check the vac line to the fuel valve under the tank to see if it is connected to the proper location.

If you talking about the clutch being "Grabby", some SH's are that way. The partial cure that worked for me was bleeding the crap out of it. In fact I put speed bleeders at both ends! LOL. If you want a little more gradual engagement action,
change to a Oberon slave cylinder. I ended up with a Oberon Slave and a VFR Master. The change in the master(smaller bore) to slave (larger bore) ratio made the engagement much smoother.
