I have a 2003 mostly stock SuperHawk and the problem I'm having is the fuel gauge is flashing that it's empty even when there's a full tank. Is there a sensor I can clean or adjust myself ? I got a one year warranty but I don't want to lose out on riding for a few days while they fix it.

There is a sensor, yes, but it won't do much good to clean it... It's either busted and needs replacing, or not connected... Look in the service manual, it's linked as a download in a number of forum posts (search)... The manual lists tests for verifying it's condition, and by looking at the schematics you can locate the connectors along the way to check if properly seated...
I'd say it's worth the time to have them replace it once you have done the diagnosis for them... Or you might find one of the connectors unplugged (common) and fix it in ten minutes...

I recently did some work on mine requiring removal of the tank. I had the exact condition you describe when I forgot to reconnect the sending unit wires.
Got it working. It was indeed disconnected under the seat. The default warning signal for this disconnect is that it will flash the indication that it's empty. Thanks for all of your insight friends.... It helped a lot.
where is this wire that comes undone mine is constantly saying it’s low also

I checked my wire the two coming from under tank (green/black and white/black the connection looks brand new if that’s not undone what else could cause my gage to always blink low fuel

On the first gen bikes, '98-'00, there is a some what higher failure rate of the fuel level sending unit. Don't know if the 2nd gen has the same issue, but worth checking.
