Rear Right Turn Signal Stays Lit.
I am stumped.
Rear right turn signal stays lit when the switch sets it off.
Unplugged the Turn Signal Relay, and it still stays lit.
Checked the turn signal switch and it's fine.
Unplugged the connector that goes from the turn signal switch and it still stays lit.
When I unplug the fuse for the turn signals, it goes out.
When I unplug the other connector from the turn signal switch then it goes out.
When I checked the schematic on here it doesn't match up with the connector on the bike.
It shows four wires on the connector but the one on my bike has six wires.
Different color also.
My bike is a 1998 Honda Superhawk 996.
Does anyone have the correct wire diagram?
And are there any ideas on what I can check.

Turn Sigal Problem
I believe you have a bad ground going to your tail light section. Your Right Indicator light is acting like a ground and will illuminate the bulb. Do you have LED indicator lights?

No, the ones that I am putting on the back are incandescent.
The weird thing is that when I unplugged the front right turn signal and the back light went off.
I swapped the front turn signals and now it's all working fine????
I don't know what the issue was?

call me a fool but I’m an idoit when it comes to wiring I’m trying to swap my blinkers and I need to know what wire is what from my stock harness..I know green is negative but what are the red/white and the red trying to hook these up need to know if what if the two wires are turn signal and wat one is running lights

The yellow wire on the turn signal connects to the blue wire on the right blinker and orange on the left blinker on the bike.
The red wire on the turn signal connects to the blue/white stripe wire on the right blinker on the bike and the orange/white stripe wire for the left blinker on the bike.
That should work. If not then just switch the connections on the blinkers from what is described above.
But the blue wires should stay for the right blinker and the orange wires for the left blinker.
But, leave the black wire on the blinker to the green wire on the bike.

It's been a while but for the Red and Amber turn signals, the black wire is the negative that connects to the green wire on the bike.
The yellow wire on the turn signal connects to the blue wire on the right blinker and orange on the left blinker on the bike.
The red wire on the turn signal connects to the blue/white stripe wire on the right blinker on the bike and the orange/white stripe wire for the left blinker on the bike.
the red and amber are for the rear white and amber are for front need them are what I’m changing first than the rear

As you said but have an issue
did as you said and everything seems to work like it’s sappose to but only have if the light lights up wile the turn signal is on any idea ehag would cause that

I believe the schematic for the rear turn signals don't have a connection for any running lights. Just for the turn signal.
The front light should have running lights, since they have the three wires going to them.
The back turn signals only have the two.
For the front right turn signal, disconnect the solid blue wire.
And take either a voltmeter or one of those automotive troubleshooting lights
and connect it to the blue wire.
Turn on the turn signal.
If you don't have an on and off again signal then
the trouble is back further in the circuit.
Do the same for the blue and white stripped wire.
And see what results you get.
I'm pretty sure the solid blue is the blinking signal
and the blue with the white stripped wire are the running lights
for the right turn signal.
That's what the schematic above shows.
Let me know what you find out?
