fuel gauge fluctuating

When I start it, it reads full. When riding it gradually goes up and down. This just started happening at random. Any obvious, easy fixes you guys have ran into, let me know. This is the first problem I've had in 23,000 miles of riding so I guess I'm lucky. Recently my storage has gone from a garage to a barn so I'm wondering if there's some corrosion starting somewhere. Thanks, Tim

Yes, I did use the search function with only about 2 related threads that weren't exactly the same issue.

I live in hilly terrain so my gas gauge is all over the place all the time. But when the bike sits level long enough it settles down. I presume yours has never done this before?

Yeah. Never did this until about a week ago. Even if it only has a gallon or so, it will show full at start up and then after riding for about 10-15 mins, it will go down. Yesterday, it did it but after 30 mins of riding, it seemed to stabilize at the right place. For now, I'll just reset my odometer and fill up at 80-100 miles.
