Fuel Filter

Ok so before anyone smashes me over the head hear me out. HaHa. So I put fuel filters on my bike and my range went from about 120 miles per tank to about 70 miles per tank. The Fuel Filters were from autozone and were for a car. The bike would sputter bad at around 70 miles on the odometer but ran ok on a full tank. The filters seemed to small and the bike was choking pretty bad. So I removed the filters and the bike ran fine again. I also removed the in tank filter cause it was in real bad shape. My Question Is I want to add two inline fuel filters again has anybody added some with good success and the bike not choking out. If so what kind and part #.

hmmm...i would imagine that two filters may cause problems with fuel flow as its gravity/vacuum operated and that may cause too much restriction. i think someone on here at two inlines and was recommended him take them off.
