Question Front End/Fork Rattle

Hey All,

I am having an issue with my front forks on my 2000 VTR1000 Superhawk. On rougher paved roads where you have cracks or other rough surface, or if you grab the front brakes hard and quick and release them after so you load the front forks quickly and unload quickly like a bump in the road, you feel a rattle/chatter or some 'slack' in the front forks. Anyone experience this one? It may be that the forks need oil or adjustment?? I'm not sure...Sadly I'm not all that Mechanical!

most often its steering bearings. could be just loose but could also be worn. tightening them and then checking for notchy action should tell you.
