Front APE CCT Adjustment

Hi all,

My bike's been fitted with APE tensioners, adjusting the back one is fine but the front is hidden behind a radiator hose. Is there an easy way to adjust the front tensioner?

Thanks

When I did mine I had the fairings off and it was simple to drop the left radiator (2 bolts I think). Removing the fairing is not difficult or very time consuming.

or you can lift the tank like a lid remove the air box adjust and reconnect everything. I don't know what is more of a pain though. If it was me I would remove the airbox, I have done it so many times it would be a ten minute job.

I adjust the shaft itself with a shallow socket on a ratchet. I can't lift the ratchet handle enough to get a perfect fit, but the shaft moves easily and it works for me. On my bike at least the rad hose only blocks the lock nut. I slide a long, narrow screw driver under the hose and pry it up a little. That gives me enough room to get at the lock nut.

Push the hose down (wedge something) and use a narrow boxed end wrench.
