Fork yeah!
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Greg for the work he did on my stock forks. He did an awesome job on them, provided great setup information, and was very helpful in helping me get the suspension dialed in.
I'd say the fork work and the new Ohlins shock are the best money I've spent on my chicken. I ran a trackday on Monday at Heartland Park in Topeka and the bike feels SO much better than stock. There were rough parts of the track I used to try to avoid or bumps that would unsettle the bike before, but now I don't even think about them.
I never realized what a turd the stock suspension is until I upgraded.

HPT runs open track days about once a month. They usually break into 4 groups - novice, intermediate, advanced, and a school group. Each group runs for 15 minutes at a time.
If it's your first track day, signing up for the school might be good. You get a lot of instruction that way. Or you could just get out there in the novice group. They always have control riders who are pretty cool about leading or following you and giving input.
I like the layout of the track. It's pretty technical, has a good flow, and has some elevation changes.
I'm probably gonna skip the July date because it will probably be blazin hot, but I'm planning to go back in Sept.
Let me know if you decide to go and maybe we could meet up there. It would be nice to see another chicken out there!

Thanks, guys!
For anyone that's looking to send forks my way, I'm heading out of town to the SHOG Rally on July 7th or so. After SHOG I'll be going to St. Louis and then flying out to Monterey, CA for Laguna Seca races. After the races we're doing a 3-day loop up the CA coast. I'll be back home on or around July 27th. Now that you all are jealous send me your forks so I have some money for the damned trip!
