jet kit (yeah yeah I've searched)

I want to double check before I go ahead and buy a kit. My bike currently has some unknown size jets that seem to be making the bike run rich (I was told it had a "stage 3" jet kit). So I want to buy a kit to get my carbs tuned right which I've never had before. I have a K&N, erion exhaust, and pair block offs. Is the dynojet kit the one to go with or the factory pro? or is there a difference?

Hard to nail this one down. I can tell you that I am running a DJ kit on my VTR (Microns, modded stock air filter) and it is spot-on. I had it installed adn dyno-tuned mind you but the results are 100% statisfactory. I am sure, however, that some will give the same report for the Factory kit.

Good luck

+1 on the DJ. Mine is spot on with the stage one kit. It has specific instructions (settings) for a K&N filter. I run the needles one slot higher than the base setting.

Stage 3 will have telltale signs, like no airbox and separate carb stacks. The only way to know what you are running is to pull the carb bowls and check for yourself, hopefully they're marked!

yeah but the jet kit can be installed without the rest. all I know is whatever is in there now is dumping lots of fuel in and under 4k it sucks pretty much. there's no airbox mods, I did the pair valve delete on my own. and the k&N was there when I bought it. I believe the jets were on from the original owner (I'm the third owner)
