Fork Swap Guide q's

In compiling my pieces it looks like I can use the old VTR wheels with a cbr 9xx setup (forks, triples, calipers, etc)... is this true? Will I need spacers or anything and can I mount CBR rotors to the VTR wheels? Thanks in advance!

Yes and no... The problem lies in your use of the designation 9xx... CBR 900RR forks means you can use the VTR wheel... Those forks are also RSD as the VTR ones... And if you look at the guide it says you use the spacers and such from the CBR, the calipers are also a recommended swap...

With the newer 929/954 forks that are USD forks you cannot use the VTR wheel...

It depends on which CBR9XX setup you use..

For any of the USD setups (929,954 etc) you can't use the VTR wheel without extra work (new bearings, custom spacers, and I have no clue about rotors). You are better off using an appropriate CBR wheel.

For the CBR900 non USD setup you can use the VTR wheel & Rotors but need the CBR spacers.

This fairly well spells it out: https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=23751

I got that impression from the guide, just wanted to double check that my wheel wouldn't work before I threw down some dough on a new one. Appreciate the patience!

Edit: And it is 929rr, so good thing I didn't try...
