Electrical issues...

I've had sporadic electrical "flukes" in the past that basically faded away and I left at that. I am now experiencing my turn signal indicators glowing at me intermittently, as well as my rad fan has stopped working and my speedo has stopped working, yet the chrono still ticks of miles. My low fuel light has only momentarily worked in the past... WTF... is any of this common? I am thinking my reg/rect is going, but I have not even bothered to check output voltage yet... that will be next.

Any ideas?

Whats a good oil for electric parts?? I have similar problems, i have found the reason for my bikes behavior. i Checked the wiring connectors behind the gauges and woila!! When i wigle the wiring connectors all gauges start to flicker...some will work and some will stop working...so the wiring connector is either broken or doesn´t connect properly. So i´m thinking of putting some perhaps WD-40 in there or does it make it worse or short shirquit the whole thing???

Keep WD40 away from electrical stuff! It's a quick fix that makes it worse in the long run...

Get contact cleaner, nothing else, and then seal it with vaseline (avalable as spray on) But first have good look at the connector if it's broken you can see that... Otherwise clean all contacts, seal them and make sure all the small screws are tight (97-00 instrument)...

Contact cleaner then 'dielectric grease' on the connectors. Available at auto parts stores everywhere. Permatex makes some.
