Electrical / Charging question

I've read the threads about accessories on the SH and seen some of the calculations but what I could find is this..

Is there a way to upgrade the battery/charging system? So that more accessories can be attached?

I've got a gerbing heated liner. I'd like to also get the gloves and then have a cigarette lighter adapter for my GPS

I don't recall what the output of the system is off the top of my head, but you will need to run some calculations to see how much power you require.

Assuming you have done this already, and are coming up short, talk to an electrical motor rewinder about rewinding your unit for more power. Can it be done to the VTR? I don't know, but it is common enough on other bikes such as the XR600.

Capacity of our alternator is 280 watts. Subtract some of that for lights and other electronic stuff and I'd say 200 watts would be a safe number for accessories.
