clutch

hello

was wondering if anyone knew if rc51 clutch could be adapted to
the superhawk. would be nice to have a slipper. especially with high comp.
pistons installed.

The RC51 doesn't have a slipper clutch unless you're talking about getting aftermarket.

Either way, I don't think it will fit. The only part the VTR and RC51 have in common are the front sprocket.

Greg,

yes i am talking aftermarket.

was looking at ron ayers site and comparing part numbers.

i am wondering if clutch basket is the same.
they have very similar part no.

if you know of any one who has a busted rc51 basket that
they need to get rid of please let me know.

i could use it to compare.

i can see that the clutch pack it self is beefier, and center bearing is different
but i think that is because rc shaft is thicker.
bearing has same outside measurements, center diameter appears to be 3mm
more.superhawk bearing is same size physically just smaller id.

well i guess the only way i will find out is to experiment.
if it works out i will let everybody know my findings.

thanks for reply
