Cam Chain Noise

Ive had my hawk for over a year now and ive clocked 5k on it since i bought it and i had a couple questions for the pro's.
First has anybody tried the royal purple max cycle 15w-40? or the new 530RR oil? and also the k+n oil filters versus the filtro hiflo filters?

now to the important part, it seems that after this weekend of riding my cam chain seems to be making more noise than when i first started riding it. anyone have any ideas, ive heard a lot about the ape cct's and was wondering if that reduce the noise of the chain. also if there are any other brands out there that make a good part or ay other ideas on oil? filter? or ccts?

APE is about your only choice for manual CCTs. Installing is best done with a valve check/adjust since you'll have the valve covers off already. It's pretty simple to perform and there's LOTS of threads and information on the site about it. As for oil, I'm a M1 15-50 guy.

How many total miles? Noisy OE CCTs scare me as I've had my share of issues. You'll get varying opinions, but my $.02 is to get the APEs ASAP.

Honda filters and RPMC 20W50 here.

factory filters only. i have had problems with most aftermarket filters on most of my car and bikes.quality of filter is the main reason

I highly suggest you switch back to "normal" brake fluid. At least one person on this forum had seals swell from silicone fluid and this caused problems. The seals need to be designed to be used in the stuff.
