Anyone make a Gear drive for the Hawk?

I'm no Steven Hawking but....

With all the "issue" surrounding the CCTs on the Hawk would it not be a good idea to bypass all that with a gear drive unit? I would think that you could erase any chance of CCT issue (Durrrr...) Enhance the ability to set the exact timing you wanted for performance and get another really cool sound out of the already rightious sounding bike. If it's even a possibility... Does anyone make one?

Yeah, anything of that type would be absurdly complicated and expensive when compared to a manual tensioner.

It was possible to do add gear cams on the VF750F from parts for the race RS860 - a job not for the faint hearted

memory lane

Never heard if it's feasible to retro fit RC51 gear into the Storm, but I'm certain it'd be easier to simply buy an RC51.

Yeah Honda makes one... It's called an RC51... Just replace the hawk and you have no more CCT problems...

Altough you might have a new set of entirely different one's tough...

Thanks for the info guys! Didn't know that 51 ran gears but I had figured, a gear swap to the Hawk would have been over my head a bit. Honestly, I've taken a 51 out a time or two and I believe that my ridding style and level fits the Hawk better...at least at this point. Anywho, thanks!

The biggest problem with converting to gear drive is the crank. The stock crank has a sprocket for the chain and this would need converted to a gear. Not easy or cheap.
