its pretty cheap. I might, might have one in the garage, used when I swapped swingarms. If you want to go that way and pay shipping you can have it. your choice. PM me if you want it that way and I can check if I still have it or not.

LOL. I draw the line at installing it for him.

Justinity, I found it. Its in very good shape, almost no wear - if it were clean it would probably look close to new. i think it would take a lot to wear it out - and I do actually adjust my chain so there shouldn't have been much rubbing.

I don't have the screws that anchor it to the arm, but the grommets are in good shape etc.
here is the best I could do for pics - its flat black so whatever wear doesn't really show, I didn't clean it.

If you want pm me your name and shipping info. it should fit in the small USPS mailing box which is around $10 I believe or whatever it costs.

My 3 previous bikes being shaft drive (78 CX500, 86 Nighthawk S, and 83 BMW R100RS), I'd wondered what that thing was called. I figured it would wear out eventually, with enough miles. I wouldn't have wanted to sound like a dumb *** if I had to go to the dealer and order one.

Looks good. I have to send a picture of mine. The previous owner let the chain stretch to much so it is worn bad and the kinks in the chain rubbing on it aren't helping.

Mine was rubbed through to the bone from my previous owner... I just figured it was a wear item...

You're telling me if I adjust my chain correctly, I can keep it forever?

It is most definetly a wear item... But you can wear it fast or slow... It's supposed to be changed before you wear through... The idea being that once you start wearing on the alu pieces of the swingarm you might end up having problems...
