The bike has 1,750 miles on it! He said, not warn, stretched when the cct failed and it jumped time. He's only saying that because to him it just sounds like it could be "deeper" in then the valves. To me it sounds like a valve noise, but I'm not any kind of expert for sure.

The thing is when the CCT fails, and the chain jumps... The chance of the chain getting stretched vs the valve getting bent when the engine comes to a dead stop... The valve wins... every time... But yeah... It could probably happen...

Chain jumped, valve broke, ruined piston. That's all been replaced, this is something new since that repair. I'm hoping it is just a valve adjustment or loose valve, if there's such a thing.
