state of Indiana screwing motorcyclist again

Ok if you live in Indiana your taking a screwing again. If you own a 2 wheeler and plate it its going to cost you another 10 bucks. This is total BULLSHIT.
They say its to fund spinal cord and brain injury studies. Stats here show that motorcycle accidents contribute less than 1% of these medical conditions. Swimming pools are the highest, so lets tax swimming pool owners. ******* politicans. Then the Dumb *** governor signed the bill and did not even know he did. Ironically he rides too. WAY TO GO MITCH DANIELS. ******* RETARED. DE DE DE

If you think life is rough in Indiana then I suggest you come for a ride to the province of Quebec and speak to some sportbike owners such as myself. You see, our provincial public insurance board is proposing jacking up the cost of the plate (which includes liability insurance by the way) on sportbikes to over $1400 per year by the year 2011! I would gladly trade your $10 increase for my forthcoming $1100 one!!!!!! Some of you truly don't realize how good you have it..... I didn't mean to deflate your balloon but a little dose of reality sometimes helps to heal the wounds.....

You know, with the rising cost of fuel you'd think they'd make it easier to get a motorcycle. But instead of taxing the ***** outta motorcycle related stuff they should just make MSF courses manditory and tax the freakin cagers since they use more fuel and create more need for road maintanence.

Nobody should complain about insurence unless you live in New Jersey.... I was there for 4 years.... highest premiums in the US..... 2400 a year on a f-ing Ford Focus for a married couple in their 30's, with no points, no accidents, no anything.... as for motorcycles if you don't go to a "local town" agent, the big boys (Allstate/State Farm/Etc) will either charge you 1200 a year on 1000cc's or just flat out tell you to get lost... So glad i moved back to NY... premiums halved moving 12 miles from Hoboken to Westchester...

Guess I have it good

Dang, that is crazy ridiculous for tabs/plate. In Minnesota, they are $13.50. Can't complain much with that. I agree though that there should be more tax breaks for motorcycles and mopeds with rising energy costs but hey, when you get your pockets lined by the oil companies, why the hell would you want to **** them off?

And I thought NY was bad with all the taxes, fees, etc but the reg is only $14 a year for cycles and I think $7 for the yearly safety inspection...

Yeah, but try moving to NY from another state. The ******* title transfer fee is like $70 or so. Having 3 paid off motorcycles, a paid off car, and another 2 vehicles with liens really sucked the bank account dry.

Wanna talk bullshit high prices, let's talk vet bills......

Nah, I....correction...my daughter has a Pomeranian that had a $1000 bladder stone, a cat with a heart murmur, and then there's my mutt that has to take estrogen twice/week to prevent her from leaking urine when she sleeps.

Just took the cat to the vet today and that was a cool $164. That was just shots and an EKG. The neuter procedure will be $220 because of the special anesthetics they have to use with his heart. Little ****** is starting to mark his territory. I figured either the vet could do it or I would do it. I thought it'd be nicer to let the vet have the first go at it.

I would call it "head shot" and do what needs to be down...Ammo is cheaper than the Vet!!

Remember, it's my daughter's cat. How would you have felt if your parents put down your doggie or kitty because it pissed on some clean towels? I think you'd have been scarred forever.

....of course now having actually MET Randy I can vouch that this has actually happened to him - abused as a child and scarred for life!

Yeah they should be encouraging ppl to buy bikes. I dont think its to bad in MA, i think that the state rapes you so bad on auto insurance that they dont care about bikes and it fairly cheap.

I am not going to complain...about $38 for tags and $165 for insurance for the year.
Of course, my Chocolate Lab that's allergic to grass (the kind you mow), my cat that had a stroke, and 8 horses to hay over the winter MORE than make up for it.....

As an Indiana resident I feel that I must chime in. I'm a Republican by nature but Mitch Daniels (supposedly a Republican) has done nothing but screw this state over left and right. I'm glad I didn't vote for him. Remember his campaign slogan? "My Man Mitch" Every time I hear about him hosing us again I say "Not my man!"

pa is 18.00 a year for tags, about 19.00 for inspection and i pay 80.00 a year for insurance. just liability though. they did however just add an extra 20.00 to renew your drivers license because they have to print the little"m" on it
