Killed a WA State bird last weekend - Warning Carnage!

Clipped this guy with my left mirror out in the rurals last weekend. Didn't think I had killed him at first because it wasn't a bad impact. Went back to get him off the road and found his neck was broken, probably died instantly. He was in pretty good shape other than that so I took some pictures(sorry, cell phone). Argh, I am never going to get rid of my reputation as a bird killer!

"A cat with explosives demolishes bird while perched on a Hawk".

I guess the little guy didn't see the mean ole putty cat coming.

LOL....yes, the explosives are for good measure. Just in case one any of them survive! (eww) I am hoping that the Hawk doesn't end up being as notorious of a bird killer as my VW Bus was. I am thankful though, that it took the hit instead of my face shield or chest. Always looking on the bright side, after all, "a bird in the hand......"

How does that saying go...
"a bird in the throttle hand is worth two laying on the road"

Bet the birds thought the VW bus was a rolling bird house and would try to fly in for a rest...................................Rest In Peace.

I'm glad you got that bird before it got you.
No need for Tweety under glass and a mouth full of feathers.

Better watch out. It's friends might come after you. I ran over a crow once with my minivan, and wherever I went for the next month, a gathering of crows could be seen nearby.... :O

And some of you think when you see bird crap on your car it was an unfortunate coincidence.

HA! Those dirty birds have it in for us. And good aim too.

good thing elephants dont fly

i clipped a sparrow with the tip of the right side cowl, (which coincidentally looks like the leading edge of a birds wing when looking at the side of the bike... headlight looks like the beak)... that left a six inch long blood streak on the bike... poor thing had no chance... (i was WELL over 100mph)...

Why do city birds always insist on playing the game where they fly right in front of your car, across the road?

I hate that game...
