Well not dead they are still the sanctioning body for AMA motocross, hill climb and I think flat track.. But yes they are GONE from AMA roadracing.. a bright day indeed.

 

Hey E, don't be surprised if they're out of Flat Track as well! Nobody cares about hill climb except hill climbers,their friends and family. Motocross is their prize, easy to stage easy to manage, profitable and they can mesh it easily with Nascar and the other cage racers they own!
