Websites for good price on leo vince

wondering if you guys knew of any good websites for cheap prices on leo vince high mount slip ons? I currently have the Jardine round high mount (black) and I'm looking for a change. trying to get under $600 if possible for aluminum. Also - I can not find it in CF. Doe they still make it for the SH in CF?
Thanks.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the link greg. Just bought them. $567 was the best price i could find anywhere and wanted to get them asap so i could get them on the bike in time to enjoy them befor winter. I bet I could have found some on ebay if I'd looked harder and been more patient.

996 rider. I'll let you know how the look/sound compared to the jardine cans as soon as i get them mounted up.

Pipecity was the lowest I saw new at 606 I believe. Starcycle was 618 or 619. Yeah too bad I just saw that nice used aluminum set on ebay go for under 400. Ebay is the place if you get lucky. I got my carbon high mount Leo's on there and they were perfect like brand new for around 500.

They sound great. Not Harley loud like D&D's (but what else is?) but still fairly loud. Nice quality and I was able to bend the hangers a little and pull them in nice and close to the tail-not a huge fan of that "wheelbarrow" look.

hey captain, you got pics of your leos? i want to mod the hangers to bring the pipes in closer to the tail section if possible. I'd like ot see what you did. I created a hanger to work with my subframe a few years ago on another VTR. it looked awesome and I'm trying to recreate that look but not sure I'll have to attach to the subframe this time.

Thanks.

Cool! Think I could take those Jardines off your hands for a good price after you do the swap?

sure. not sure what I'll do yet about keeping them but befor I put them up for sale I'll give you a shout. please PM me to remind me. later greg.
BTW - how hot to you think these cans get (leo vince)? I want them as close to teh tail section as possible but afraid they might melt the tail if they are too close. I had some micron CF cans almost touching the tail and they were fine but thecf doesn't get too hot.

Too late now I know but.....

I ordered a set of leoVince CF for my VTEC VFR and found the best price for that bike at morepoweracing.com.

They don't show CF for the superhawk but do have alum in both hi and low mounts. You have to email for a 5% off coupon which will bring the hi mounts down to $570 plus shipping. AFAIK, they don't stock but get them in 2 days from the importer in Cali.

http://tinyurl.com/yx54ou

Note: these are for the evo II line which includes a spud, aka db killer, like staintunes use and are the more expensive of the two lines they sell. I don't know if they make a VTR model in the cheaper line.

Sure, give me a day or so and I'll take a couple pics and email them to you. I still have to take a couple minutes to figure out how to post pics on here. I basically just gave the stock hangers a slight inward bend and everything went with and still clears the swingarm fine. I did have to tuck the hangers under/mount them to the inside of the tail plastic. The cans are RIGHT next to my BRAND NEW tail and they don't do anything to the paint. (I'd cry if they did). If I put an undertail on, which I eventually will, I could probably get them together like a ducati. I actually had them pretty close but liked them better spaced apart a little. By the way took a quick look at your site. Congrats on the contest. Been lifting for a long time and always wanted to do one. Always got a kick out of all the personal trainers out there who just don't look the part...

Sounds great. if you can not figure out posting pics here just shoot me an email. drew@ddpt.com. I would love some close ups of the hanger situation. I'm excited to get the new pipes! Thanks for the congrats. it was hard work and I'm thinking of doing another contest befor too long.

Yeah no problem, I'd be happy to take some close ups and answer any questions you have. Unlike usual I'll probably actually have some time this weekend to work on this stuff.

Posting pics is easy. Just click on the "Post Reply" button and you'll go to the advanced editor. At the bottom you'll find a "Manage Attachments" button. Click on that, browse to find your pics and click "Upload". Max .jpg file size is 97.7kb. If you need anything resized I can do that for you. Just email them to me directly: gnemish at nycap dot rr dot com

Greg,
Speaking of pictures, I would like to add a small photo avatar to my "handle".
When I try to upload...I am way oversize. Would you be willing to downsize a photo for me, or is the explanation fairly simple ?

Sure, send me the pic and I'll resize it for you. Can't guarantee any miracles, but I'll do the best I can.
