I couldn't pass it up, I found some stuff on them...made in Italy...been in business 41 years, blah..blah...blah. But anybody have any experience with or know about them? Riccardo, your in Italy, you know anything? It includes preload adjustment, ride height adjustment, high and low speed rebound damping, and 12 way compression damping on the reservoir.

I figured someone would, so I talked to him behind the scenes and negotiated a buy it now price. He posted the buy it now while I was waiting and I hit it as fast as I could so no one else could get it! It looks like a beautifully machined piece and has all the right adjustments and I've been working my *** off trying to get a decent shock.

I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT!!! Just wish it was going to get here before my trackdays but it'll be here the day I'm comming home from the track.

Yeah, finally got one! Looks real nice from what I was told by a guy on thr track forum it's somewhere in between an Ohlins and a Fox. Wish I could've gotten the Ohlins but this should do.

So you're "bi" now? My only knowledge of them is a) Italian and b) come on some italian bikes.

What model is it designed for? Length? Spring rate? The reservoir could be an issue but you can always rotate it away from it's "normal" position so it won't foul on the battery box. I ran a showa off a ducati that way.

Supposed to be a race shock specifically for the Superhawk, I think that's why the res. is angled so far downward. I don't know what the spring rate is but I may change the spring until I can get back to my "ideal" weight. Or at least close to it.

Hmm, that's interesting. So the reservoir should sit on the left as pictured. That puts it above the rear exhaust. Why would they do that?

My ohlins cannister is supposed to sit on the left subframe very near this same spot. I reversed it to mount on the right subrame and put the pre-load adjuster on the left. I've been told that the suspension action puts more heat into it than anything else but I don't see it helping matters any! Especially as hot as it gets down here in the summer.

Agreed, it gets Africa HOT down here as well. I thought it was kinda strange that it didn't have a remote res. myself but I looked into it and it should be the right one. I really like the fact that it's so adjustable I should be able to waste many hours playing with it. I'm sure the wife will love that!

Yeah, I saw the buy it now price and was like "well, would I rather have a shock or slip-ons right now?" And figured..."meh, I'll let somebody who has stuff already done to thier suspension get "good use" out of it rather than my daily commuting" lol.

I also saw it was specifically for a hawk, but when I went searching for it, I didn't see that Bitubo even made one, so aside from the slip-on thing...I decided to pass. Should be a great shock though. I know thier dirtbike stuff is pretty on par with Ohlins and Fox...

Congrats on the shock....

Bitubo makes good quality shocks.
AFAIK they are comparable with White Power shocks.
Probably Ohlins is a bit better, but shurely very expensive too!!
Ciao

Thanks for the inside info Riccardo, that's about what I've been told from the racing forum I belong to from the track down here. Ohlins is very expensive the best deal I've seen is the one superbling got here for $450. They want almost $1300 new which is about half the value of the bike!

You're right man, give me your phone number and we'll swap. You want my frontend too, I spent too much on that as well, just give me your stock forks. Oh wait I think that was sarcasm.
