Re: modification of stock forks and shocks

I installed Racetech springs (.80 kg/mm, I weigh 160 lbs), and drilled a 1 mm hole in the cartridge, filled with 7.5 wt fork oil and am very happy with the results. On the back, I picked a Racetech moded rwar shock (Gold Valve kit?) and also find it to be a definite improvement, especially over square-edged bumps. Now, it must be said that I use my VTR for semi-aggressive sport-touring but I am very happy with the results for a reasonable amount of money. I am also looking at fork brace possibly for next year.

Cheers
