front end upgrade

front end upgrade
Will the triple clamps and forks from a 02 F4i fit on the SH? I see it has 43mm forks and is fully adjustable. If the forks are the same length this could be fairly easy swap for improved front suspension.

Woody, I don't know but.....
I would bet that it would. I know they bolt on to VFR's although a popular mod with them is to only use the f4's internals to save $$$.
If I ever do a front end mod (I have racetech/brace) it would be the F4i. Not as much bling as an USD but cheaper and easier plus you can run VFR bars (02-present) or I could keep using my superbike bar kit.
I'm "pretty sure" the superhawk wheel/rotors/axle would fit bu you'd need an f4i fender.
Surely someone has done this.

Re: front end upgrade
Yeah, when I was looking at the F4i yesterday the front axle and wheel looked the same. Even the adjuster on the rear axle and the rear axle looked the same.
The triple clamps looked the same as far as design.
Hopefully someone has done this and has more info.

The forks and triple clamps should fit the frame without a problem. the VTR wheel and rotors won't work. Rotor offset is different and the rotor hub diameter as well.
I have found tht it is best to keep the wheel that goes with the forks because they are all different, with a few exceptions. And little information is available about swapping.
That should be a great upgrade with less trimming of the fairing than USD forks.
