Jet kit installed, now no power

I just installed a used set of Jardine High mount cans and mid-pipes. At the same time, I jetted the carbs (Dynojet), replaced the spark plugs, replaced the stock air filter with a K&N, and blocked off the PAIRs with the TPO kit. I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions in the Dynojet kit exactly. After replacing the main jets (190 rear, 185 front) I used the tool included in the kit to adjust the fuel mixture screws 2 1/2 turns out. I took it for a very low speed drive through my neighborhood and everything seemed OK. But when I went to really open it up, there is NO power. Any help on what I missed?

PVLIR?

Petcock shut?

Did you block off all vacuum and airbox holes from the PAIR removal?

Is it stumbling, running on one cylinder, bogging, or just plain doesn't have power?

Sorry, I have no idea what PVLIR means. I did several searches, but all addressed issues that I think don't apply here. I re-opened the petcock and capped both the airbox hole and the t-connector from the PAIR control small hose. It boggs down big time. It seems to rev just fine in the garage, but under load in gear it just boggs down.

I searched some more and found some talk about one of the slides not operating. I pulled the tank and airbox again and, wouldn't you know it, the front slide was not operating at all at any RPM. I pulled the slide and checked the diaphram finding no damage. I re-installed it, making sure the sealing edge was properly in the groove. I hooked up the tank and started her up and voila! Slide action!! I'll follow up with a report after a test ride.

Been there, done that. Gotta get the diaphrams installed correctly. If they leak, you get no action.

Amen!! Well, it needs some fine-tuning to get the mix right since I'm running a little rich now, but she's back to standing up in 1st gear. It's close in 2nd, but that will come with the fine-tuning. Can anyone recommend a good shop in the Temecula area with a Dyno?
