Jet kit question - just installed mine
I have erion exhaust, stock filter, and did 180 185 jets because of the exhaust and before with 175 180 I was having stumbling down low... Well no more stumbling and what I've noticed is in 1st how I used to do wheelies was sit at 4k then hit the gas. well that works but before it'd come up and I'd like actually notice. Now it snaps up so fast that I barely notice it but it doesn't seem to come up as high... unless that's just me... Also i have the pair system removed and I'm getting a lot more popping now with the jet kit. normal? I had popping before but it seems to be even more now.... maybe the thing to have done was 175 180 jets but move the needle a notch...

for the pops? well i removed the pair system and don't have any caps on that hole yet... and well the foam for the breathers from the valve covers - the foam is gone. doesn't bother me much just seems overly excessive... I need to get a bmc air filter... i know the k&N has block offs for those spots. not sure about the bmc... but is the power delivery like that expected?

1. Any air leaks could cause some type of backfiring, so..
2. check for those leaks, and cap the PAIR holes.
3. I doubt the breathers are the cause, but fix them anyway.
4. You're sure to have different throttle responsiveness at any given rpm and/or throttle position when you jet your bike.
This is probably something you can fix yourself, and probably should because a shop would charge a lot to take your bike back in time through mods to figure out the initial problem. If it was popping before, fixing it then would make zeroing in on any new problems easy. It just adds more variables when you keep changing stuff.
