Jardine Love

Picked these up from Captain Chaos (Awesome Seller by the Way!)

I love these. Delkevics will be for sale soon. Awesome Exhaust just not loud enough for me.

Same ones on my '98. The wife still jumps a little when I start it up.

L twin is a Ducati.

90 degrees vs. 90 degrees. What's the difference if you don't mind me asking?

the direction the cylinders are facing in the frame. Look at a Duc, the front cylinder is an L formation towards the front wheel. the rear cylinder is facing almost straight up under the air box.

V-twin is exactly that, both cylinders at approx. the same angle from the vertical.

So an L-twin will make a different sound than the V?

lol. not talking about sound. The L-twin air cooled ducatis were originally designed to allow for greater cooling for the rear cylinder.

Even though we are liquid cooled, we still run different jetting for front and rear cylinders to compensate for one cylinder running hotter than the other due to lesser airflow with a V-twin.

And? I'm not hearing a sweet sounding L-twin.

Those with Short Leg Syndrome (Google it) might say different

Rican, I think I sold you on those pipes and feel bad now. My Jardines were bought used and they possibly need a repack (?) Not sure, but honestly, I have run my bike with no mufflers (straight pipes) for about a month (it gets old pretty quick), and these Jardines are almost as loud, but with a deep tone.

I appoligize if you were disappointed.

Love the Jardines as well.

One thing to watch for on the first gen round RT1's were the rivets would work loose and the baffle would break inside. I had a set of the round ones on my old bike and Jardine replaced them with a new set of polished ovals. The rep at Jardine was very helpful and he did tell me they had a problem with that design so they made them oval. Just a heads up Rican

heres my turd with the ovals
