CBR600 fork first steps

So slowly I am doing this fork swap to a CBR600rr fork. I swapped the lower triple bearings to tapered roller like my bike has now.

Next step is to make spacers to allow my apex riser bars to fit the cbr 48mm fork. (apex only makes them in 50mm). Here are some pics of the spacers I made. They are steel spacers as I was concerned aluminum would distort.

I plan to take many measurements on the current setup as it handles well now. My rear end is very high so will have to lower it some.

I plan to use my current steel brake lines on the radial calipers. Will post more pics as they happen.

The APEX site shows clams available in 37mm up to 55mm
https://www.apexmfg.com/products/product/view/5/181

And you can buy just the clamps

Wow, so they do. That is good to know. The reason I did it this way was that I already had the 50mm bars so figure shims were a quick way to do it. I may later get the 48mm clamps.
