Talking in love with jardine (now with video!)

i just threw my cans on a few minutes ago and i love it. of course i had to start the bike without cants on it first, that was definitely pretty cool sounding. Name: IMG_5925.jpg

i kind of like how it looks without the cans, but i probably shouldnt ride it around without them. haha.

also, i bought these from forum member oicdn. i definitely recommend him as a seller if anyone is buying anything from him.

i realize this video might be lame, but i was bored and made it pretty fast.

I'm right there with ya Death Cattle. I can't get enough of the music that emanates from these pipes! Here's my carbons.

I like 'em so much, we picked up the system for my wife's SV650.

And it's louder than the SH Check out this sound clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqL9eAHyOQc

If you got high mount brackets and different mid pipes could you make low mounts into highmounts? They look so much better

ya, i wish i could have gotten carbon fiber exhaust, but the deal i got on these was just way too good to pass up. the sv650 sounds pretty damn mean too. very nice.

im sure you could get away with different mid pipes and high mount brackets, but you would probably be better off just finding a good deal on some used high mounts instead.

yes, i love green.

I too am a huge fan of the Jardines. Although a few months ago I decided that they were a little too long for my liking. So I got out the hack saw and removed a few inches, 5 1/2 to be exact. Now they look way better (imo) and the sound is extraordinary.

I'm trying to post some pics. It's giving me a hard time.

Just my opinion, but it looks weird and not better to me. The whole bike looks distorted--pinched in the rear and long in the front.

i would have to agree, it does make it look a little distorted. i like it though, its more original which gives the bike a unique look.

Not powder-coated. I did it the easy way. After wrapping the head pipe I painted the whole works with ceramic header paint. Trying to get a red/black theme going.

Any chance you've got a sound clip for those pipes? Looks like it would be good and loud.

what did you wrap the pipes with? ive seen others that have done that but ive never known what they do it with. also, whats the purpose of it? did you have to prepare the mid-pipes in any way, or did you just paint them and call it good? does it seem to be sticking ok? thats all the questions for now. haha.

As for the cut-offs, just wait until you're in your 50's. I've had tinnitus (ringing in the ears) 24/7 for over 8 years now, I'm 61. 22 years ago when I put a Supertrapp system on my '86 Nighthawk, the tinnitus was only there for about 1/2 hour after a ride.

Just something to think about.

By the way, I love the sound of loud exhaust. I just want to retain some hearing for future years.
