Fork swap begins
So this is my 2nd swap. The first one was a breeze sinc I did the cbr1000rr swap. Easy bolt up.
But this time, on a smaller budget I am trying the zx10 swap. I have the forks but would appreciate any input from anyone who has done this swap.
I would love to keep my front wheel, which means I probly want 600rr triples. These seem to be way more expensive than the 1000 ones.
My first of many annoying questions is: Can I use my rotors or are they scrap? And I guess, any other tips are hugely welcome. Thanks

Take a look at this chart. Maybe it will tell you what you want to know.

From my point of view, there were three major things to consider when doing this swap, center-to-center distance, offset, and the possibility of getting a stepped upper clamp (as ZX forks are shorter). For all these reasons, I chose 2007+ CBR600RR triples. Note that pre-2005-2006 triples will also do, though they have more offset (IIRC) and are heavier (steel stem vs aluminum). While using triples from other Honda models like 929/954/1000RR may be cheaper (not only at time of purchase, but they wouldn't require machining of upper clamp), they all use 214mm c-to-c measurement (whereas VTR and 600RR use 204mm).....
also, as the stock (cast) 600RR upper looks somewhat flimsy, I used an aftermarket (machined from billet) piece; these can be had on Fleabay for a reasonable price......
