Just polished my pipe.

I just got thru polishing my mids and canisters. The mids were a little bit harder (stainless steel) then the canisters (aluminum). I first used easy off oven cleaner to remove the baked on boot rubber on the mids. Then wet sanded the mids and canisters. I started with 800, then 1500, then 2000 grit sand paper, and then a sanded with 2000 while metal polish on it. I finally polished with the metal polish. Was a lot of work, but in the end they look great. I want to use a buffing wheel on my drill next to see if I get it to a mirror finish.

Wow Seth. Huge difference. Can you give me a close up of the rash spot?

So the easy off removed all the rubber? I have a tiny spot on mine by the kick stand that I'd like to get rid of before I swap them next week.
