headlights?

headlights?

my brights are really NOT bright. my regular lights are brighter. does anyone else have this problem? is it normal, or are my lights not aimed right? i would like to buy some better brights. any suggestions?

I had a similar problem when I first got my SH. The beam was pointed too high which made the low very nice but the high was shooting off to the horizon. There are two 10mm screws on the back of the housing on opposite corners (one low and one high). I just cranked on those til I thought the beam had lowered some and its fine now. Before I did that it was like you said, the high was dimmer than the low. Put it on the stand in your garage and dim the lights, pick a reference point and start adjusting. I think the bolts also control left to right so if you move one, you have to move the other to keep it straight. Good luck!

Make sure the bulb is installed correctly. Sometimes they can be mounted upside down or one of the tabs doesn't align to it's associated slot.
