Driving light switch/ location

I did a quick search for this and didn't come up with anything so here it goes.........I bought a set of driving lights for the Super Hawk. I got everything mounted and currently have them wired as constant on. I am not happy with the switch they supplied so I found this switch and I want to mount it in the plastic plug on the steering stem. All connections will be soldered and heat shrinked. has anyone here ever tried this? Here are what the lights look like and the switch I want to utilize...I would appreciate any feedback before I do it. Only difference is my lights are all black housings....
Thanks

I put my light switches inside the inner fairing cowl.(opposite the fork legs) They are out of the way and mostly out of rain and road wash. They have been there for 7-8 year or more without issue. I have a hazard button on the left and headlight switch and fan on the right.

You have to somewhat remove the fairing but its worth it to me.

Cool looking switch.
If you haven't already, consider using a relay to supply power to the lights.
