OK, I'll put mine in again.

2000 Superhawk. About a decade of love sweat and tears into it, lots of revisions/misteps along the way. Its a blast to ride.

Major changes I can recall:

Stage I moriwaki cams/pistons/full exhaust
Ported heads/3 angle valve job
HRC ignition and carb mods
Moriwaki rearsets
RC51 Front end
OZ wheels
JMC Swingarm
Penske Shock
Radial brakes
Nava Tailpiece
Superbike fatbars
Other little things I forgot

It puts out rw 120hp, is much lighter, handles great and is more comfortable. A couple of pictures and the last one from about 5 years ago as a reminder to thank this site and all the expertise and help which allowed me to do a lot of this I wouldn't have tackled myself. I have learned a ton and enjoyed modifying and riding this bike way more than I would have simply buying a newer sports bike.

Guess someone has to make a stand for Team Red then...

Probably should note though that the pictures are more than a year out of date... I have rebuilt a lot since then... I really, really need to take some new one's...

The list of mods is pretty long... These are the highlights (ie what I remeber doing... There are probably a few more that I have forgotten...)

CBR 1000RR fork:
- CBR 1000RR USD fork (Reworked with Öhlins internals)
- CBR 1000RR wheel with 320mm rotors
- CBR 1000RR complete brake (Radial M/C, radial calipers)
- CBR954/929 triple tree
- ConvertiBars adjustable clip-ons
- Moved the radiators to make room for the fork

CBR 1000RR instrument cluster:
- CBR 1000RR temp sensor (Turned it down and made new threads)
- Integrated gear indicator (build and design by me)
- Integrated fuelgauge (In progress) & charging indicator
- Speedohealer (v4)

RC51-SP2 swingarm:
- RC51-SP2 swingarm with custom welded lower link mount (Idea from hawkter996)
- CBR F4i rear shock (Modified with heavier spring and Racetech Goldvalve by Jamie Daugherty)
- RC51-SP2 rear caliper & caliper mount
- CBR 1000RR rear wheel & sprocket (6" with a 17/190/55)
- Custom mount plate for rearset at the pivot bolt
- Custom rearset (parts from cheap eBay set and some custom made)

Fairing:
- Dark tinted DB screen
- CBR 954 OEM hugger
- Mototeck undertail
- GSXR Mirrors, with singals in them (Completely custom made mount)
- T-Rex sliders
- Delrin sliders on both wheel axles

Electrical:
- HID projector (Nissan G35) High & low beam.
- Brake light modulator (build and design by me)
- R1/R6 Regulator/Rectifier Swap
- Peugeot 206/307 flush mount indicators
- LED plate light in Mototeck undertail
- LED taillight Retrofit (Idea from haknslash)
- 8 pack of A123 cells replaced the battery
- Moved ECU & CDI to the battery box with the new smaller battery
- Improved wire harness with more ground points
- Suzuki Hayabusa handlebar controls (Gives me warning lights and moves the light switch to above the start button, great for killing the HID before cranking)

Engine:
- Custom cams (equivalent to Moriwaki Stage 1)
- Ported & flowed heads
- Lightened flywheel
- BMC street airfilter
- FloCommander
- Aluminum velocity stacks
- DIY Manual CCT's (bolt through drilled out stock CCT body)

Misc:
- Sargent seat
- Aluminum front fairing stay & rear subframe (custom made by me)
- Jardine Aluminum high mount slip-on, removed muffler mount from stock rear footpegs and spaced them out
- 16/42 gearing
- Short throw throttle
- Custom made mount for my disc lock (I got tired of opening the seat to store it)

>CBR1000rr front end (forks, wheel, brakes)
>Mario Nava carbon fiber bodywork
">Deville" custom exaust

>Undertail with LED signals
More pics to come

I'm not trying to be stingy... But the rules are max 3 pictures... I could add more to show details but I have to leave them out...

The best way to get reasonable sized images (like mine) is to upload them into the forums gallery, and then just copy&paste the link that's provided below the picture...

If you want the images larger than that, you need an outside host to link them in...

Wow guys.....one hell of a bike of the month challenge. All very fine examples of highly modded steeds. I'd say you all are winners.

Good luck to you all.

Cheers, Walt

Here is my contribution! It's an orange -99 with black colored seat cover and black belly pan from Pyramid plastics. The mounted windshield is a black tinted one from Powerbronze. There is also a highpipe system from MIG, front and rear LED turn signals and a carbon hugger.

The technical specification it is the same as it was from the factory.

Regards,
David D

I agree with the "all of the above" option. Especially cliby, Tweety and joe...three of the real senior guys, with some major mods.

I vote for a 3-way tie. I can't pick just one of these labors of love.

I did finally pick one...but I'm not tellin'.
