Angry NEW HERE

HELLO ALL
new to this forum , but not new to vtr,s / superhawks !
been having a look through some of the threads and im a bit miffed(propper english for not happy )
one of you lot have implied that the superhawk (snigger) is faster than the uk firestorm ..AND NO ONE DISAGREED !!!!!?????
WELL i feel that you will have to prove your superiority or have to eat some humble pie ( im carving your spoon as we speak )
i am a firm believer that the firestorm here in the uk is by far.. FASTER !! and more well equipt than what ever you have to offer in what ever colour .
AND i am willing to take on anything you have to offer in a one on one challenge !!!
PLEASE CONSIDER THE GAUNTLET FIRMLY THROWN !!( i am very cross )

of course you could just appoligise on bended knee with a flower positioned in a naughty region , but i dont think your going to because your all very proud of your superhawks (snigger snigger )

so game on lets see what youve got / if anything... Ha !
regards

This also depends on the color of the bike, type of oil and tires , and the fisherman's scale you measure with.
You will get better mileage if you still use the imperial gallon.
Welcome to the forum, You will be entertained and informed!

Careful on what you reply to Yeti, he has a collection of some of the finest VTRs (including the honest-to-goodness Superbike built by Roger Ditchfield himself) on the planet. Some respect is in order, lol

welcome aboard Ian

i think we will just have to use common sence .
IF and i say if you rise to the challenge i will / scouts honour !! eat the humble pie
i will honour the mass opinion

YETI / Ian...

Dunno about the 'mericans... But I for one belive the Firestorms are faster... Might not specifically be the UK ones though, although you have one that would be hard to beat...

I have some loose plans to show up at the IOMTT next year, so if I say pretty please, will you bring the racebike so we can do a few laps together? My bike will be properly warmed up after doing the distance Malmö to IOM...

Agree that the Firestorms are a cut above, especially the dark blue ones

Y'all just think the storm is faster because you measure in meters instead of miles!

Welcome Yeti!

Firestorms are what happened in Dresden and Tokyo in the mid 1940's. Superhawks are motorcycles...

Appoligise? Oh, you mean "apologize", since we're on the subject of "correct english".

So, you think the Storm is faster, thus superior to the Chicken? I can understand why the claims of the Hawk being faster would leave you confused. However, it's not so much the superiority of the machine, but the rider itself. You see, when you see a SuperHawk, undoubtably the pilot is American and thus, FASTER! Americans invented the Clipper, first powered flight, first to break the sound barrier and we won the space race. It's in our blood to go faster. Saying that the Firestorm is faster is outright false, because the pilot can never go as fast as the pilot of a SuperHawk.

I accept your challenge for a race, sir! Meet me at the bottom of 211 at Flint Hill, VA on the 21st day of June and we'll have a race through the mountains. Afterwards, we can stop by the Griffin for Fish n' Chips. Of course, by the time you get there I will be on my second pint already!

P.S. WELCOME TO THE FORUM!

Welcome!

And I for one would like to see gboezio's bike up against a real Roger Ditchfield or similar bike, even if it was just for entertainment purposes.

Besides everyone knows the universe pushes yellow superhawks forward faster than any other no matter what time slips or external observers say.. Just ask anyone who rides one, only observable from on the bike of course given special relativity and all.

If you want entertainment value, pit gboezio against mekkaniker (the Swedish/Norwegian nut that built a Turbo VTR some 5 years ago) Thatthing wheelies as soon as you look at the throttle...

Im a huge fan of the superhawk name and not being a trader here, but I gotta admit, Firestorm is one hell of a badass name.

Meanwhile, the Aussies sit patiently, knowing full well their Firestorms are ready, especially the faster Red ones!

thanks again to Mikstr... once again ! saved me about four hours of frustration.
nice to see jonesey on here.
i think i should say a big sorry to my euro cousins (SORRY ) for forgetting yours are storms to , and you have some real nice ones , so again SORRY!!
NOW as for you other chaps / superhawk owners ..
if i could get there for a race i would, but im afraid it just isnt going to happen well not this year but you really havnt convinced me that you have anything to compete with our storms !!
as usual with you chaps alot of talk ! and nothing to back it up , quoting that someone else in america has done something quick does not mean you have a fast or well equipt motorcycle or does it ???
maybe i should quote some !!from here across the water !!??
NO .. that would be quite silly as were talking storms v hawks
please stick to the thread ....
i have to say that even stationary my storm looks way faster ( and im sure is way faster )than any hawk ive seen on here running or not !!and we have, im sure.. heard of the turbo storm !!from europe !!
as yet you have a big "O"... nothing .....a large gaping hole where quick and well modified goes.
your spoon is nearly finished and it does look very nice but who over there is going to admit youve lost and are sorry for undermining THE STORM..
if you can lets see what you got ......SOMEONE ??????????

WOW, Talk about a cool, debatable post of controversy..
I wouldn't calm to be the ambassador of resolve. In 2001, before separation from service. I had been in Japan for something over 6 months. And in Japan is were i first experinced "The Firestorm". and spent more than 24 hrs a week on a real beautiful blue firestorm--The bike was owned by a (to US standards- Sgt, in the Japan's Military).

I have read the thread, And to WHAT comparison are, or is the group wanting to conclude...
If the Test was "Top" speed in a straight line- I would say the variables are endless- The Firestorm was terribly quick- I could keep up with Ji(the owner of both bikes) on his NSR500r. Just NO comparison for "CC".
Now to take up for "US" owner on this side of the pond...
I would say-that you bring yours , or any "STOCK" Firestorm to the curvy road of the south-eastern part of the USA. The tight, curvy mountain roads of the blue ridge mountains, or VIR in VA.
Then it would truely depend on the skill of the rider, and the size of that rider pride (Ha Ha- you thought i was going to type b***s)....
That 8 months of opprotunity to ride those bikes, away from work, duties - I came home to the USA. and within 6 months I bought my 2001 SuperHawk(RED) and the first RC-51.... wow! that V-twin
