Project Frankenhawk

So I've been away for a while after a pretty spectacular down on HWY 280 a couple years ago. In the last year I finally found the energy to work on my bike. Almost back together now and thought I'd post some pictures...

That exhaust... it's bananas! The front looks a little top heavy to me with such a roomy fairing, but man... than exhaust. Well done.

Lightbulb

What radiator is that? Looks like the kinda set up I'd like to go for if I take the fairing off.

The buell 1125r's fairing is ugly in general. Just my opinion.
Looks like it could work for you bike though.
Go job!

Yep, the 1125 fairing is HEINOUS I agree. Just heinous enough to fit on the bike, lowered roughly 3 inches from the stock Buell location (in relative terms). LOTS of light tho. I really only did that as an experiment. Next might be a BMW "crazy eye" headlight. Looks a lot better with rider on it going down the road. 929 swingarm is relatively straightforward. Took some searching around for bearings that fit the SH pin, and 929 OD. Dogbone is a one off, using the 929 shock on lowered mount. I'll get some pictures of that soon enough, maybe do a writeup. As for the exhaust, I ran the "design" by a few rider friends and the local dyno tuner. Tuner said "sound great", Rider buddys said "that's dumb. It'll get too hot". That was enough. Had to prove them wrong...

2 AM, chasing a friend. ~100 mph. Old tires, slightly raised ride height, no steering damper. Shook twice and I was sliding. Needless to say, all those issues have been fixed. 280 between Wolfe and Saratoga.

Some more detailed pics. After some riding time I'll take her apart and clean up/ powdercoat, paint, etc....
For the record, it used to be this: https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=15763

dam boy, you might end up being happy you trashed your bike. haha. Lookin good so far.

Raised ride height: Mine's raised 8-10mm rear, same in front and feels great. The old tires part I agree with, esp those sucky oem dunlops that left go on me on a perfect surface curve @85-90, i.e., with oem ride height.

Gonna be anxiously awaiting your finished product. Definitely creative and unique.

Okay, edit: Don't raise your ride height on an otherwise questionable platform.
