Hi all,

I have been a member (lurking) for a few years now. Since I did not own a SH yet I have not been very active. Well, at all. I have always been into the SH since it and the TL1000S came out in 1998 and even test rode one back in the day. What an unrespected bike for what it really is. I have several Honda VFR 800s ('01, an '07 and a hybrid between the two I call a Gen 5.5) along with a 1989 Hawk GT so the SH was on the list of bikes to get someday. I have looked over the years but never found the right deal. But I just picked up a very clean low mileage 2005 titanium and am interested in getting it back on the road after it has sat for a year or so. It is mostly stock with an aftermarket (Powerbronze?) front fender and TBR carbon slip on cans.

First up- get the Dunlops with '08 date codes off of there, along with getting Jamie of DMR to work his magic on the SH as he has already with my other bikes. SS lines along with replacing all the fluids is a must. I hear the VTR1000F suffers from the same electrical gremlins sometimes that the VFRs do so a new reg/ rectifier is in the plans along with new lithium ion battery.

I am considering getting an Ohlins shock and a Scotts steering damper as well if I can find them at reasonable prices.

Can't wait to get the Firestorm back on the road.

Excellent score on the fastest color SH. Good plans on the immediate upgrades. Unless they have already been done, you'll want to address the CCTs. It would be very, very sad day if they fail.
Once you get some seat time, I think that you'll find that you don't need a stabilizer.

Thanks for the warm welcome gents. Yes I always loved the titanium and yes it should be the fastest

I just scored a Scott stabilizer and am talking with Jamie about the forks and shock.
