Superhawk vs Suzuki SV for tall riders?
Greetings ladies & gentlemen. I am new to this forum, but I'm looking for opinions/experience about the Firehawk (or Superhawk as they say overseas).
I am a rather tall person 1m92cm (or 6ft3) and I ride a Suzuki SV650S 2004. It's a great bike, easy to maintain, rides smoothly, ... Also: keep in mind that I am a novice rider, and far from a pro/competitive rider.
The only downside is that it feels like this motorcycle is too small for me. It sometimes feels kinda uncomfortable to manouver with it. What I am wondering is: how does the VTR1000F compares to that? I am not talking about power, because the superhawk will rape the 650s with regards of power, and I will probably never even use it's powerband to its full capacity, but what about riding position and handling for taller riders?
Kind regards
edit: great. Already a typo in the title

'Yeti' in the UK with Moriwaki Storms is 6' 8" or so and seems to be okay riding even with rear sets - though his knees & elbows stick out to the side at a jaunty angle...
Older / less flexible riders tend to fit more comfy upright handlebars, and drop the footpegs an inch or so. Best get a test ride to find out wether it fits, and maybe look at at the taller Varadero with the VTR engine.

Welcome to the forum, SV650 is a smaller bike and more compact, I can see why you have some issues of discomfort, not really a comparable bike to the VTR1000, comfortable for tall guys? Yes, and you can make it even more.
VTR1000 or SV1000 would be much better for your height, I rode both and they are comparable bikes, but the Honda is just much more refined and forgiving bike.

I have an sv for the track and a superhawk for the street. I can tolerate the sv for the track for the 20 or so minutes at a time. The hawk is better but a few comfort modifications have helped greatly. Namely a custom seat that is higher and I also installed a set of the Apex riser clip ons. (I'm 6'3" as well).

Hey hey. I'm 6'4", have two Firestorms (Canada). One I welded dirt bike risers on the top of the triple, KTM high bars on that. Had to cut the windscreen
down. Its awesome! I bought another VTR, left it stock, find I ride it more, handles better. In closing, GO FOR IT!
