Side stand woes

Hey all, I am not sure what the PO did when he had this bike but the side stand is tweaked and curved the bike leans over a bit more than I would like and is a bit scary on a slope. Anyone know a good place to get a replacement side stand?

I think I have a good one from the bike I recently parted out. I'll double check for you.

Not sure why he would heat and bend it. If you do stand flips you can bend it. I used to do them all the time before I added a plate to extend the stand for my penske shock.

Stand flip is balancing the whole bike on the stand and rotating it 180*.

I have actually done stand flips quite a few times with it but it was already bent before that. And thank you Captain.

I saw on a thread that someone used a CBR1000 side stand cause it was longer by @1 inch but I'm not sure of the year or whether it was a F or RR model, anyone know?

Just bend it back. Has the rear of your bike been raised to improve handling? That would exacerbate the issue, or just cause it to lean more than usual to begin with.

CBR 1000RR 04-07 works nicely... Newer may work, but I haven't tried it...

I'd be interested to know if its a direct bolt on and if its worth the switch.

My hawk leans way over on its stand, tends to eat right through asphalt parking lots unless I bring a little plastic piece.
