why would u disable the switch? when i bought my bike the PO had the switch off the kickstand and it was zipstriped up on the frame, i QUICKLY re attached it.

You could disable it temporarily to diagnose problems or until you fix a faulty switch... Or if you want to run on the track without a kickstand, but put the stand back on for street riding...Or if you want it to idle while in gear for some weird reason...non of which are very good permanent solutions for anything. I had a buddy with a Victory CrossCountry that didn't kill the motor in 1st gear with the stand down, and it was stock. Very weird.

I saw a guy on the street about a month ago with his kickstand down. It was a minor miracle I could catch up with him in my car and yell at him before he made a left hand turn... Probably made for an interesting morning on his part:

6am and he had some random guy barreling down beside him screaming only to realize that he was one turn away from having a very crappy day.
