No more mods, time to ride...
Done with the prep, took my first nice long ride this week.
Left Baltimore for Marlinton, WV. Went by way of Harpers Ferry (before the Mem Day crowds). Left 81 south of Harrisonburg, VA to get on 42 across to 250 and west to McDowell which was nice, but then I got on 220 at Monterey to 84 and those were even better, but then 92 to 39 West was stupendous. Rain came just east of Marlington so I stayed there instead of camp. Rode 219 north through the Monongahela forest, stopped to see the Blackwater Falls and then 90 across to Germania and east to Mt Storm which lived up to its name. 50 East to Winchester and then the Old Charles Town road off of 11 to meet back with 340 into Harpers Ferry again. Stay off the Old Charles Town road it was a mess.
82 from Monterey was a gem; and that 39 and 219 were great fun, loads of turns and while I was on 219 from 0800 until 1000 or so I didn't overtake more than 1 or 2 cars.
10 hours in the saddle (or near it with fuel stops and smoke stops) on Friday and I could still walk. I made it down in about 7 hours but I rode back with a Electroglide (Classic) so we weren't in much of rush.
Lots of riders headed east from Romney headed for DC this weekend.
Cheers.

Not that much baggage, less than 40# most of it in the side bags, evenly distributed... it handled pretty much the same as always I didn't notice any changes and manage to wear the toe off my boots and skinned my knee...
Yeah bear bin looks like it's attached.... funny.
