Hey everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself and say THANK YOU! I just bought my 98 Superhawk last Thursday and I love it but immediately had a problem with it charging. After reading multiple threads about the Rectifier I did some investigating and noticed that it had been replaced but was very poorly wired. I soldered the wires up nicely and checked the plug and tested it. It seems to be charging good now. After about 25 miles it died again. I am going to be some more extensive testing on the stator and wire harness. Hopefully I can find something wrong. IF it is the stator again, i will be buying a MOSFET as Tweety and many of you suggested.

On a better note, I only put about 60 miles on my bike since I bought it Thursday but I must say, I LOVE IT! Thank you all and hopefully I can help someone in the future as I become more familiar with it.

Also, I am currently looking for an under tail kit with integrated blinkers as well as flush mount blinkers in the front and a tire hugger. I already have an aftermarket lower fairing which I love. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I haven't done much research on the parts here yet since I was busy with this annoying rectifier issue.
