newbie here with some questions......

I picked up a 2000 vtr S/H , and have never had a sport bike..... got 66,000 miles on my VTX !800 , but man this thing is different. Picked it up because I was tired of the work out that the big heavy "X" was in twisties.
Does the frame flex ?? seems like I read that somewhere......
bike is such a different animal than other bikes I have had..cruizers.
Trying to take it easy, which has not been hard due to the only miles I have put on it are in bumber / bumber traffic.
Tomorrow is going to be nice though and I'll hit the hill country,,,
I don't really know what to ask,,,,anything I should be catious of ?
Appriciate the feed back , I'm diffenently green on this bike..
I have not had it above 5,000 rpm's yet. Doing about 4,300 @ 70 m.p.h. .
Wow what a bike,,, I think ??? LOL

superhawk22 is an unknown quantity at this point
Don't worry about anything, just get some seat time and get use to it. The frame does flex but it was called tuned flex as they wanted it to flex. Even spirited street riding won't effect you negatively, you have to push it REALLY hard to feel it. Since you've been on cruisers it will feel like a supersport compared to those bikes, just enjoy.:-D

As an experienced rider, you will settle in really quickly and in no time the Superhawk will be the bike that feels the best. It takes a little getting used to so what SH22 is saying +1. Don't go on any long trips right off the bat. And don't run out of gas!

stick it in 1st gear, hold it at about 2,500 rpm then wack the throttle open.
then tell us what you think of it then.............lol!

no seriously you will love it.
just take the time to get use to it ,and youll find it corners almost
telepathically. just make sure you put some decent rubber on it.
and mostly set up your suspension. there are guys on this site who are pretty knowledgeable about fork setup. ask around most are happy to help.
