PS:
You talk about looks and guys mention the Super Hawk, well it is one of the best looking bikes period!. Looks are emotional and like emotions they change; there are times when I look at my Super Hawk and I feel that it is the best looking bike ever made. It is not always that way but enough that I cannot deny to myself that it’s design is in the upper echelon of motorcycle art.
I like closer to 388lbs. and therefore opt for the direction of the new BMW.

I also like the looks of our SuperHawk. Also like the minimalist naked look as in the triumph.

it's a sport tour, plain and simple.

102dals is an unknown quantity at this point
I kinda like it also.
V4s have unbelievable power, and totally linear power delivery...at least until modified. They're also quiet, vibrate minimally, and handle well (low CGs). If it's designed to replace the ST series, it could be a "hit". STs have always competed with BMWs and Italian sport-touring bikes. All previous VFRs were just lighter, slightly sportier versions of those anyway, at least since the late 80s. The 80s "superbike" models are lighter than our SHawks, but make only about 85hp.
Price has ALWAYS been a motivator for Honda, though, and $16K would be a stumbling block IMO.

they didn't make the engine as per a sportbike profile either, the front two cylinders are splayed...so much for mass centralization...

In comparing it to the concourse kaw it is slightly more, and its considerably more than the hyabusa, but the busa comes with much less. I have no clue what the bmw's would cost, but I would guess 18k+

The 'Busa comes with pins for attaching bungee cords to. Here's my '04 'Busa with my "soft" luggage attached -

My 2nd generation '08 'Busa also has these.

('Busa will stomp that VFR)
