I have Geico (sp?) and they tell me the Superhawk is considered a sportsbike, but it's still cheap as long as you own your bike outright and you don't carry collision...around $14/month

Insurance is very subjective, they base it not only on the type of bike but age, location, and record of the rider, what I pay is completely different than what others do. Best thing to do is to check around and get qoutes.

I should have qualified the question, all things being equal, which is costlier to insure.

I got State Farm and they base the price based only on engine displacement so the bandit 1200 would be 20% more then the superhawk. I know other ins companies do it differently, so it depends on which company you go with.

Cheuy, call both Geico & Progressive...they will tell you what we can't bro! All I can say is this: The Bandit looks like a fine bike, but the Superchicken will rock the Bandits world
