New SuperHawk owner W/Questions
I recently got me a Superhawk and got to take her for a ride on friday and definitely loved it. I'm qurious as to what the best rpm range to cruise at is. I'm not a speed demon, although I can't resist the urge to rapidly accelerate above and beyond the posted speed limits from time to time. Nor will I be pushing the limits while running some twisty back roads, although a little spirited riding is generally in order. Most of my riding would be in the 60 to 70 mph range. At that speed is it just best to keep it in 5th? I just want to keep it in the peak rpm range.
I am also wondering if it is worth while to hook up a radar detector and is there any particular way to wire it up?
Thanks

You'll get many answers to your rpm question. To keep it short and simple, keep the engine above 3k so you are not lugging it. After that I spend most of my "cruse" time between 4k-5k and if I'm out "having fun" I keep it between 6k-9k
