G'day from Australia.
I picked up my Firestorm last Saturday.
"Scarlett" is an Italian Red 2000 model with 16,000km on the clock.

She has never been rejetted for the debaffled mufflers and will be in the shop early next year. She now stops with new non contaminated front pads and rotors. At least I can tick one box.

Scarlett shares garage space with a 1250 Bandit.

I'll be cruising the mods section most often.

Greetings - Looks like a very unmolested Stormbeastie in the best colour.

Check the CCTs have been modified to manual versions and upgrade the early unfinned R/R to a later finned version / MOSFET type and you'll have a reliable bike for years to come.

That part number for the old regulator is so fitting....It totally looks like it says "****"....which is exactly what those old regulators are! Welcome to the forum, very nice 'Storm! Enjoy!

Thanks all. You may have noticed the black line around the disk about mid way. Replaced front pads yesterday and boy does she stop now!
I commented at the test ride I thought the brakes were **** compared to my other bikes and that I was sure it only had the power of one side working. The owner said thats how they had always been. So I started researching replacement gear from the CBR range. I'm glad I was able to fix them for $60

Welcome 2,
You can improve the feel of the brakes by going to stainless clad lines.

She's a beauty. The much maligned stock brakes actually work pretty well when cleaned and with good pads.

Welcome 2wheels! Looks like you're using up most of that rear tire. How does "she" compare to the Bandit?

Thanks mate.
I'm happy to post a comparison when Scarletts carbs issues are sorted early Jan. I had a choice of selling the Bandit and a FZ1 both for good money and I kept the B1250 so there's a hint at what I think of high torque output bikes

Yup, red is the proper colour for any Honda.
Ever noticed the model designation of the stock R/R. Pretty much says it all.

That's a push bar. I thought all red bikes had those.

The Ventura rack will be coming off. This bike doesn't need it. One of the benefits of a second bike

KM yes you'll see me pop up in all sorts of places ,)
