My own personal mini racetrack!

I live in Houston, and because of RITA the city is closed down. I went on a little ride to see all of the cars in gridlock allover the city; I live in Katy about 30 miles west of downtown off I-10. The mall is a ½ mile from my house and had to use the mall parking lot to make it back home. As I made it ¾ around the mall parking lot it happened……… The thought ran through my mind as a big smile ran across my face, my own personal mini racetrack! Because, of all the activity the cops are busy with more important things to do like assisting the millions of people leaving the city. I did not go too crazy, I kelp it within limits, but WOW! What a bike! I realized very quickly what all of that low end toque that you guys are always talking about is all about.

Hope you fair OK thru the storm & keep your electrical power at the house.
Looks like Rita is comming ashore further east than originally expected.
A blessing for Houston.

Re: My own personal mini racetrack!

Thanks. It looks like I will be ok, I live in the west part of Houston in a town named Katy and as it stands now, we might get 50~70 MPH winds. I hope that the power does not go out, and above all I HOPE MY SH IS NOT HARMED!!! it is parked and covered in the walkway between my apartment because the parking lot might flood and the walkway is about 5’ above the parking lot and offers the best shelter from the storm. My downstairs Neighbors are so cool, they said if is get real bad I could put it in their dinning room. How cool is that!!!

Yes, I was surprised, since he was a diehard Harley enthusiast and it was the 1st time I had even had a chance to talk to him. It’s like my Dad told me years ago, “A true motorcycle lover doesn’t see brands, just bikes” and that’s how I have always felt. I think I'll buy them that six-pack anyway, just for the offer.

Thank you Sir, that was a good idea.
