My 1/4 Mile Times :-)

Well ran the bike for the first time ever last night at PMI in Pueblo colorado. Ran consistent other than the first time I killed it off the line and lost traction in second. The track was crap but it was fun. I raced my uncles brand new ZX10R and won the first race at 12.2 1/4 mile at 115, he raced a 12.8 at 126 :-). Traction limited for hime

The second race I got it great off the line! Pulled him 3/4 down the track everytime and ran a 11.8 at 116. He ran a 11.69 at 129 :-(

But comparing those speeds you know where the Superhawk as fun :-)

Cheers!

thats awesome. did you start off infirst or second gear? it seems from riding my own bike that first gear would be too low. also whats your gearing?

Started off in first gear.. I had some jetting issues for my 1-3K rpms so It was tough getting off the line even in first gear! But im working on richening it up a bit.
Just stock gearing right now.. What would that be 530 or something like that?

But yeah thanks!! :-)

Nice job, 11.8's not bad for your first time out. And what's the altitude there?

stock gearing should be 16t front and 41t rear. search the forums for gear ratios and i bet youll find a combo to make you evenfaster. good luck and be careful.

5465 Feet is the altitude I believe at PMI. Not much air up here if thats what your asking lol.. When I brought my car up here I had to retune the VE table to suit the new air/fuel ratio. Not by much but it was running quite a bit richer. Less horsepower now but beggers cant be choosers... Ill be back in florida in a year or so. :-)

Yep I was quite satisfied.. when I killed it off the line I ran a 15.50 but still pulled 111 mph.. Cant believe it.. Once it gets over that 110mph it just stops pulling, but thats Vtwin carbs for you i guess :-)
